Brainwave 2019 Workshop at the Rubin Museum: The Powers of Hope and Anxiety

Posted on

As part of the Brainwave 2019 Festival at the Rubin Museum of Art, Dr. Dennis-Tiwary interviewed artist Candy Chang and writer James A. Reeves about their interactive artwork “A Monument for the Anxious and Hopeful”. Visitors to the Rubin Museum added over 53,000 of their hopes and anxieties to this piece in the Rubin Spiral lobby, creating a series of snapshots of what they were feeling in the present moment. Dr. Dennis-Tiwary, Candy Chang, and James A. Reeves spoke about what these hopes and anxieties mean in the context of the brain.
